A Crucial Step toward Stronger OIC Economic Ties, with Indonesia–B57+ Multilateral Business Roundtable
The Islamic Chamber of Commerce & Development (ICCD) convened the Indonesia–B57+ Multilateral Business Roundtable, titled “Integrating Markets Through Enhanced Connectivity, Trade, and Investment in the Islamic World”, in partnership with the Indonesian Business Council (IBC).
The roundtable was held on the sidelines of the Indonesia Economic Summit (IES 2026), where ICCD participated as a Platinum Sponsor, on 3–4 February 2026, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.
This high-level dialogue brought together policymakers, government officials, ambassadors, decision-makers, and global thought leaders to transform strategic visions into actionable outcomes. Discussions focused forging actionable pathways to empower SMEs, strengthen supply chains, and position Indonesia as the gateway to shared prosperity.
Bridging Continents: The B57+ Asia-Pacific Declaration Passes the Torch of Asia’s Economic Integration to Indonesia
In a significant moment at Indonesia Economic Summit 2026 (IES 2026) , H.E. Mr. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), handed the B57+ Asia-Pacific declaration to H.E. Mr. Arsjad Rasjid, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Indonesian Business Council (IBC), recognizing Indonesia’s pivotal impact through this transformative initiative.
This declaration represents a commitment: to position Asia-Pacific as a dynamic hub where Islamic economies and global partners converge, building bridges across value chains, cultures, and continents.
The chapter has been successfully initiated as part of B57+ regional expansion strategy, with operational frameworks and guidelines.
ICCD Launches the B57+ Group: A New Dawn for Global Economic Integration
At the First B57+ Annual Summit, the B57+ Business Leaders Network was launched, as a collaborative effort between the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC), and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), marking a transformative milestone in advancing the global economic cooperation.
Representing a dynamic market of 2 billion people and a GDP of $24.18 trillion, the B57+ Group serves as a powerful engine for shared prosperity, uniting Muslim business communities across OIC member states and beyond.
By 2050, the B57+ Network aspires to become a trusted global platform where top business leaders convene to shape the future of the global economy.
The B57+ is a landmark initiative established by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), in collaboration with the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), and Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, to strengthen collaboration between the private sector and policymakers across the Islamic world, reshaping the future of global economic cooperation.
